Professor Kenneth Leung Mei-yee is the Vice-President (Research) and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Health at City University of Hong Kong, where he also serves as Chair Professor of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. He received his PhD from University of Glasgow as a Swire Scholar and postdoc training at University of London as a Croucher Fellow. His research focuses on marine pollution, conservation, and ecosystem restoration. He is a Biwako Prize laureate and a Fellow of Royal Societies of Biology and Chemistry. He leads the UN-endorsed Global Estuaries Monitoring Programme. Locally, he was named one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons (2010), appointed Justice of the Peace (2018), and awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (2025) for public service.
