As a UK-chartered landscape architect and urban designer with two decades of global experience, Stephen serves as Design Director and Nature-based Solutions lead at the AECOM Hong Kong Design Studio. Stephen's background in design and engineering has led multidisciplinary teams on notable projects in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Highlights include the London 2012 Olympic Legacy Masterplan, West Kowloon Cultural District, Northern Metropolis' masterplans, and the award-winning Tung Chung East Eco-shoreline design. Stephen co-authored the Hong Kong Nature-based Solutions Design Guidelines and currently spearheads the Natural Capital Initiative, pioneering nature financing by quantifying and transforming natural capital into tangible investments.
