Poster Design Tips
While no official template is provided, presenters are encouraged to follow these guidelines:
- Use a minimum font size of 24 pt for body text, with 1.15 line spacing and normal tracking.
- Limit font types; maintain a consistent typeface for clarity and visual unity.
- Apply clear heading styles to distinguish sections (e.g., Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion).
- Ensure ample white space around text and visuals to prevent overcrowding.
- Aim for high contrast between text and background (e.g., dark text on a light background).
- Avoid placing complex images or graphics behind text. Use a plain or subtle background.
- Use text labels and symbols—not color alone—to convey meaning (important for accessibility).
- Frame visuals or use contrasting color blocks to help graphs and figures stand out.
- For long or detailed content, include a QR code that links to supplemental material (PDFs, datasets, publications, etc.).
