Ms YUEN is a civil engineer in profession and has been a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers around 30 years.  She joined the Drainage Services Department (DSD) of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 1996 and has been working in various Divisions involving in the planning and operations of drainage infrastructure and construction of Harbour Area Treatment Scheme, Stage 2A.  Ms YUEN was also involved in the planning and development of the Innovation and Technology in the Lok Ma Chau Development Loop during her time seconded to the Innovation Technology and Industrial Bureau.  Ms YUEN is currently the Chief Engineer of Land Drainage Division, responsible for formulating and putting forward the integrated flood management strategy, reviewing drainage master plans, developing the flood monitoring and forecast systems, overseeing the emergency preparedness and responding system for adverse weather events, handling climate change issues, planning and promotion of river revitalization and blue-green infrastructure and for the department.
