Frederick J. Long

Founding Managing Director
Olympus Capital Asia and Asia Environmental Partners

 

Mr. Long co-founded Olympus Capital Asia, an Asia-dedicated private equity firm, in 1997. Since inception, Olympus Capital has invested over $2 billion in more than 50 Asian companies. In 2009, Mr. Long spearheaded an initiative by Olympus Capital to invest in clean energy and environmental services companies. This led to the formation of Asia Environmental Partners I and II (AEP), funds which have invested more than $500mm in renewable energy, water services/technologies, efficiency and recycling, waste management and related businesses. Early in his career, he was an Investment Manager with SEAVI (Advent International's Southeast Asia affiliate) and a Mergers and Acquisitions specialist with the First Boston Corporation in New York and Tokyo. From 1991-1996, he co-founded and managed an environmental non-profit organization focused on sustainable enterprise research, education and training. Mr. Long holds an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an AB degree from Brown University.
