Dr. LEUNG Siu-fai

Dr. LEUNG Siu-fai is Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation, leading the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) to promote the sustainable development of agriculture and fisheries, control animal and plant diseases, safeguard animal welfare, conserve ecologically important fauna and flora as well as manage geopark, country parks and marine parks. With keen interest in marine biology and ecology, Dr. Leung pursued his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Marine Biology at The University of Hong Kong from 1986 to 1991 after obtaining his Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology from the same university in 1986. After completing his postgraduate study, he started to develop his career by joining the Government as a Fisheries Officer in the AFCD in 1991 and has been working in the AFCD since then.
